Sergeant Beatrice was a tall, aggressive, redheaded Marilacan prisoner of war in the Dagoola Camp. She did guard duty for the women's group in the prison, and took some sympathy for Miles Vorkosigan's dressless plight when he spoke with her and her fellow guards. She was given the task of bodyguarding Miles and Suegar in the camp.
She died heroically, saving Miles and some 230-odd other people on the last shuttle to leave the camp.
